Ooi Lin is an experienced physiotherapist with 20 plus years of experience, majority of it in pediatrics. Ooi Lin believes that families are experts on their children and its always an honour to be invited to share part of families’ journeys. The greatest joy of working with children and young adults is to support their participation at school or community. It is so rewarding to see children explore movement. Nothing beats a big grin when a child feels air on their face as they are swinging safely for the first time or to see a student use a power wheelchair to independently go out at recess with friends. Ooi Lin enjoys collaborating with others to problem solve and be innovative in addressing gaps in participation. A recent highlight of her career has been collaborating with engineers to build a power car that can be accessed by young children of diverse abilities. Ooi Lin had humbling experiences and life lessons as a volunteer physiotherapist in Northern Macedonia. Ooi Lin is so grateful for the amazing colleagues she has worked and learnt with over the years, for families who have shared powerful moments, for schools and community partners open to collaboration and problem solving, and is looking forward to continue learning and supporting students of diverse abilities to participate in school and community life. Outside of her professional life, Ooi Lin enjoys the outdoors, cross country skiing, travelling and immersing in other cultures, and cheering her teenagers who play competitive volleyball.

Hey, I’m Brooke! My love for working with individuals and promoting healthy movement sparked my interest in becoming a Physical Therapist. I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology degree and continued my education to complete my Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. I have experience working with a wide range of individuals including; seniors, new moms, post joint replacement, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s, MS and cerebral palsy patients. I have additional training in Pelvic Health for those experiencing incontinence, pelvic pain, pelvic prolapse, painful intercourse and pre/post-natal care and support. I have also completed my Biomedical Dry Needling certificate and use this as an adjunct to treatment as needed. 

My approach to treatment involves working together with individuals to create a tailored treatment plan that will get people back doing the things that make them happy. I use a combination of education, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and research to help provide patients with the knowledge and tools to feel better, move better and stay better for the long term.

In my free time I enjoy hiking, camping, playing basketball and volleyball, hitting the gym or trying a new coffee shop with friends. I am passionate about getting you back to what you love doing, and equally passionate about hearing your favourite travel destination or restaurant in town! Kerri completed her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 2007 after completing a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology in 2004, both at the University of Alberta.

Kerri has found an unexpected passion in caring for the aging population. She has worked for 13 years in a rehabilitation hospital specializing in geriatrics. She is AADL certified, offering full assessment and authorization for all walking aids. Kerri is a Teacher’s Assistant in the “Aging and Physical Therapy” class to upcoming Physical Therapists at the University of Alberta.

In her free time she plays Ringette as well as coaches her daughters in Ringette.  She is a busy mom, keeping busy with them in all their other sports and activities. Kerri is serving ST. ALBERT.

I am Graduate of the University of Manitoba’s School of Medical Rehabilitation in Physical Therapy. Over my 17 year career, I have worked in the areas of geriatric medicine, orthopaedics, cardiac medicine, thoracic/cardiac surgery, kidney medicine/transplants and most recently paediatrics. I have worked with individuals after kidney, lung and heart surgery, post hip and knee replacements and provided assessment and early intervention for children with gross motor skills delay and developmental conditions including Autism, Cerebral Palsy. As a Physical Therapist, I want to help my clients increase or maintain physical function( strength, flexibility, balance) educate, and assist with safe physical management in the home environment and community. Kelsea graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Prior to completing her Physical Therapy degree, she acquired a Bachelor of Science degree with Biological Sciences (Major) and Nutrition (Minor) from the University of Alberta. Kelsea has continued her education and advanced her treatment skills through several post-graduate courses. She has completed the Orthopaedic Division of Canada Level I Manual Therapy and SWODEAM Series I Spinal Manipulation courses. Kelsea also completed SWODEAM Biomedical Dry Needling and begun acupuncture certification through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Kelsea keeps active in her spare time by running and training for half marathons and playing recreational volleyball. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and daughter. Kelsea has a special interest in the treatment of neck and back injuries, headaches and shoulder injuries. She incorporates various treatment techniques such as manual therapy, needling, postural correction, strengthening, and functional exercises to help her patients return to work, sport/running or simply their everyday activities. Kelsea is serving SHERWOOD PARK and EAST EDMONTON.

Majo graduated from Angeles University with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1999. He has been working with Alberta Health Services at the Leduc Community Hospital since 2018. He is experienced with acute and chronic pain management, orthopaedic care, post- operative surgeries, geriatrics, neurological conditions like stroke, Parkinsons and MS, as well as and cardiac rehabilitation. Majo is well versed with exercise programming, manual therapy and functional mobility training to assist you or your loved one to regain your/their previous level of functioning or decline in functioning. He has advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation including vertigo, nausea and balance issues.

In his spare time Majo enjoys playing basketball, fishing, gardening, camping, watching anime spending time with his family which includes 2 daughters and a son.

Emma is a registered Acupuncturist in good standing with the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAA). She has recently relocated to Sherwood Park from Vancouver where she completed a three-year acupuncture diploma program.

Emma sees health and wellness from a continually evolving and individualized perspective. Coming from a gentle, integrative and trauma informed lens, Emma hopes to meet patients where they are at and support them through their health journey, regardless of how far they’ve come or how far they have to go. Her goal is to get patients to a place of health where life can be lived to the fullest – she believes we all deserve to live with balanced hormones, a pain free body, and a full heart.

Deeply rooted in a belief in the healing power of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Emma is passionate in supporting all aspects of mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. In her practice she employs a wide variety of modalities including auricular acupuncture, cupping therapy, guasha, moxibustion and needling.

If you are uncomfortable with needles or are new to acupuncture, Emma is willing to put in the extra work to make sure you are heard and cared for throughout your wellness journey.

Outside of work Emma enjoys creative endeavors such as crochet and textile arts, live theatre and comedy, eating delicious food with her friends and staying active through running and yoga.

Yi Graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science and a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy.

He started his career in acute care, providing care to patients with various medical and physical conditions such as elderly frailty, falls, joint replacement, Parkinson’s, post-surgery, stroke and different MSK conditions. For treatment, Yi focuses on patient-centred care with personalized treatment plans. He takes the time to listen to his patient’s goals and concerns and lets them direct the course of their rehab journey. Yi hopes to help his patients move better and achieve their rehab goals through education, therapeutic exercises, and manual therapy. Yi is fluent in Mandarin.

In his free time,Yi likes hiking, weight training, and spending time with friends and family.

Delmar grew up in the Philippines who, at a young age was exposed to patient care and management from his dad.  The deep connection his dad gave to his patients inspired him to become a licensed Physiotherapist.  With his passion to expand his knowledge on other ways to restore health, he pursued training in Orthopedics before immigrating to Canada to start his family.  While establishing roots in the new community, he remained active in healthcare working in University of Alberta hospital Transplant Program.  Motivated to practice his degree as a Physiotherapist, he managed to take the necessary requirements and graduated Bridging to Canadian Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Medicine at University of Alberta and achieved full license to practice Physiotherapy in Alberta.

Delmar is skilled in managing pain and other symptoms that arise from acute or chronic neuromusculoskeletal conditions affecting daily functions. His treatment approach is focused primarily on client-centered care.  He is a strong believer of personalized physiotherapy that is evidence based and involves multi-disciplinary collaboration to achieve clients’ goals.

He is compassionate to listen to clients’ physical needs, committed to empowering them to regain independence and dedicated to journeying with them in their road to full, holistic recovery.

Marissa completed her Bachelor Degree in Medical Rehabilitation in Physiotherapy at the University of Manitoba. Marissa has experience in many different types of physiotherapy. She spent the beginning of her career working in pediatrics, specializing in infant and toddler development. She has worked in outpatient orthopedics, treating post surgical and musculoskeletal injuries. She currently works in acute care and emergency room rehab services.

When Marissa is not chasing her three kids between the hockey rink and horse barn, she can be found out for a run on the beautiful ravine trails of St Albert.

Lindsay completed an undergraduate degree in exercise physiology in 2005 and a Masters of Physical Therapy in 2011 from the University of Alberta.

Lindsay began her practice focusing on intensive rehabilitation for people with complex physical therapy needs especially neurological diagnosis. Other than a short stint in acute care, she has worked in a rehabilitation hospital inpatient and outpatient programs focused on spinal cord injury, stroke, brain injury, MS, Parkinson’s disease, MSA, CIDP, GBS, FND, falls prevention, geriatrics, hospital deconditioning, post ICU critical illness polyneuropathy, palliative care and other conditions.

Lindsay’s style is function focused, goal based and intensive. She’s previously completed LSVT-BIG training for Parkinson’s disease. She has trained wheelchair skills, simple to advanced transfers, falls prevention, home and community mobility skills.

Lindsay is passionate about physical therapy rehabilitation and excited to serve the people who require her skills.

In Lindsay’s free time she can be found rink side cheering on her child, riding her horses and coaching show jumping. She’s also an avid oil painter and can be found at local galleries and art walks.
